About Me

Hi, I'm Emily....
Hi, I’m Emily — a teacher, wife, and homemaker who’s learning how to live a softer, more rooted life.
I’m currently in my first year of teaching first grade, which means my days are filled with crayons, storytime, and sticky notes. Outside the classroom, I’m building a home with my husband — one that feels peaceful, warm, and meaningful, even when the laundry isn’t folded or the to-do list is long.
I started this blog because I wanted a space to document the quiet beauty in daily life — and to share honest glimpses of what it’s like to juggle work, health, marriage, and homemaking in a world that often celebrates hustle over rest.
A few things about me…
– I’m on a slow and steady journey toward better health — working on hormone balance, weight loss, and living with less stress
– I love cozy things: candles, warm bread, fresh sheets, and evenings where nothing is scheduled
– I’ve always been drawn to the cottage aesthetic — the idea of life feeling simple but rich
– I’m passionate about encouraging other women to embrace rhythm, rest, and realness
I don’t have it all figured out, but I hope my words meet you with kindness and my routines inspire you to create your own — not to copy mine.
Thanks for being here.
It truly means the world.
With grace,
Emily
